I graduated from Magnolia Heights in May 2023, and then furthered my education at Delta State University/Blues Air where I completed the Aerial Applicator Pilot Training Program in May 2024.
Family
My parents are Lacey and Judd Gentry and I have a younger brother, Jamison, and an older sister, Anne Jordan.
Describe what you do in your job
I am an ag pilot for North Delta Dusters. My job entails fertilizing crops and spraying chemicals on as well. When I am not in the airplane I also assist with daily tasks at the air strip.
How did you become interested in your career?
I flew with a pilot when I was nine years old and I loved the whole experience. I told my mother then that’s what I wanted to do when I grew up, and that is what I’ve been set on ever since.
Best business decision you’ve ever made?
Starting to invest in an IRA at a young age was most certainly the best business decision I have ever made.
Best advice you have ever received in your career?
Always take your time and never get into big rush because that’s when you get hurt. One extra minute isn’t going to make that big of a deal. Keep your head clear when you are in the cockpit and always be aware of your surroundings.
Someone who made a difference in your life and why?
My father, Judd Gentry. Because he always pushes me and encourages me to get things done.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy flying planes and going to the lake or river on my days off with my friends and family.
What music are you currently listening to?
I love to listen to country, and sometimes I listen to rock when I am in the plane.
